To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Indirect Purchasing Buyer in our plant in [[location]].
Responsabilities:
- Optimal planning of plant indirect materials and services acquisitions using the optimal resources and systems
- Contribute to the budget planning activities and implement continuously effective internal control tools to deliver the required financial results.
- Monitor and advise on any issues which present risk or opportunity to the organization
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
- Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
- Contract services and discounts for YRL and Country Yazaki affiliates.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers according to the YAZAKI’s procedures; negotiate offers, prepare comparative cost analysis & reports.
- Work closely with Category Buyers in order to identify cost savings opportunities
- Prepare and submit SAS package for approval for SM Approval
- Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings;
- Send and track the purchase orders to the suppliers
- Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.
- Other tasks allocated by the Line manager and Co-manager in line with the job responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, train and develop the purchasing team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, Law or a related field required.
- Previous experience in a strategic purchasing role: 1-3 years is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown; SAP
