Process Engineering & FA Manager
岗位职责Responsibility
主要职责Main Task
1. Lead, coach and develop the PE and FA teams; define roles, competency requirements, training plans, succession coverage and ways of working to build a high-performing, results-oriented organization.
2. Set departmental objectives and KPIs in alignment with manufacturing priorities; establish annual plans, allocate resources, review performance regularly and implement corrective actions when targets are at risk.
3. Provide technical leadership for production-line issues, process excursions and complex defects. Ensure rapid containment, risk assessment, root-cause identification, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verification.
4. Own the failure analysis function and laboratory capability. Establish FA workflows, methods, equipment, sample handling, documentation and technical review mechanisms to deliver timely, accurate and traceable analysis results.
5. Lead cross-functional failure investigations for internal defects, reliability failures, supplier-related issues and customer complaints. Translate FA findings into actionable process, product, material or equipment improvements and communicate conclusions clearly to stakeholders.
6. Lead PE and FA engineering activities for NPI line bring-up from engineering build through ramp-up and mass-production readiness, including process flow, equipment and tooling readiness, layout, utilities, staffing and training, material readiness, documentation and production trials.
7. Define and manage NPI engineering deliverables and readiness criteria. Drive process validation and qualification, parameter-window definition, control-plan implementation, capability assessment, line audits, issue closure, handover and post-launch stabilization.
8. Partner with R&D, TIE, Quality, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and global technical teams to ensure robust transfer of new products, technologies, materials and equipment, with clear ownership, risk management and milestone tracking.
9. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, cost and productivity, including FPY/yield, scrap, cycle time, OTD and process capability, using Lean, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC and other structured problem-solving methods.
10. Develop and maintain process standards, work instructions, technical specifications, control plans, risk assessments and knowledge-management practices. Ensure changes are evaluated, approved, implemented and sustained through effective change control.
11. Prepare and manage the departmental budget, laboratory and engineering investment plan, and OPEX/CAPEX execution. Support supplier selection, technical evaluation, acceptance and lifecycle management of critical equipment and analytical tools.
12. Ensure compliance with EHS, information security, applicable quality-system requirements and company policies. Protect technical information assets and ensure special processes, equipment software and engineering controls are appropriately validated and risk managed.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, failure analysis or a related technical field; experience in the ophthalmic lens, optics, medical-device or other high-volume manufacturing industry is preferred. Hands-on experience in NPI industrialization, production-line bring-up and complex failure investigation is required.
