Your Role
As Senior Manager Strategic Marketing, you will be responsible for strategic marketing for your customer segment within the strategic business unit Semiconductor Mask Solutions (SMS). In this role, you will make a significant contribution to securing and expanding ZEISS’ market and technology leadership in the semiconductor industry and represent the customer perspective for your customer segment within the business unit.
- You will consolidate technology roadmaps as well as market and customer analyses for your customer segment and derive implications for SMS product roadmaps
- You will develop an in-depth understanding of customer processes, applications and key challenges and translate these insights into new product ideas and application areas
- You will work closely with the Field Marketing teams and support new product introductions, particularly during initial customer engagements and first sales
- You will evaluate new technologies and competitive products and gather and consolidate competitive intelligence globally
- You will prepare customer visits, workshops, trade fairs and conferences and represent the strategic positioning of your customer segment
- You will support the Head of Strategic Marketing in further developing cost-of-technology models and pricing frameworks
In this role, you will work closely with executives, the R&D organization and regional teams to sustainably strengthen the competitiveness and market leadership of SMS products.
Your Profile
- An excellent degree in engineering or natural sciences, for example in physics, mechanical engineering or optics; a doctorate or additional business qualification, such as an MBA, would be an advantage
- Extensive experience in technically oriented roles in the semiconductor or semiconductor equipment industry, as well as in strategic or technical marketing for semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Proven experience in launching new products and validating product concepts with international semiconductor customers
- A broad, end-to-end understanding of processes in mask shops or wafer fabs
- Knowledge of optical systems, materials and metrology would be an advantage
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset, combined with the ability to bridge technology, business and customer perspectives
- Fluent business English; German language skills would be desirable, preferably complemented by knowledge of Mandarin or Korean
- Strong intercultural skills and willingness to travel
