About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager - Finance to manage and oversee key aspects of our global payroll operations. This role requires strong expertise in global payroll, payroll accounting, compliance, and process management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations across multiple countries, including the US, India, Australia, UK, Canada, France, Dubai, Costa Rica, and Southeast Asia (SEA), ensuring that salaries, taxes, deductions, statutory compliance, payroll accounting, and employee payments are processed accurately and on time. The role will also involve payroll reconciliations, journal entries and accruals, statutory compliance, payroll reporting, audits, employee payroll queries, coordination with external payroll vendors, and continuous improvement of payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process monthly payroll for employees across different countries.
• Check taxes, statutory deductions, and other payroll deductions.
• Ensure salaries are paid correctly and fix rejected payments.
• Prepare and post payroll, benefits (Bonus & Vacation) journal entries and accruals.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts and ledgers.
• Ensure government/statutory payments (US 401K, EPF, ESI, PT & LWF etc,) and filings are completed on time.
• Prepare regular payroll MIS/reports.
• Support and manage payroll audits.
• Answer employee questions about salary, taxes, investments, and payroll.
• Work with HR on special payroll cases.
• Coordinate with external payroll providers such as BDO, TriNet, Andersen, Enkel, Top source and Xero.
• Identify payroll problems and improve/automate processes.
• Work with different teams on payroll transformation and process-improvement projects.
• Act as the NPS Nodal Officer, Manage NPS-related payroll processes, including deductions, contributions, reconciliation, compliance, and employee queries. 

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree/PG in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of global payroll experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits accounting, including journal entries and accruals.
• Experience with payroll compliance and outsourced payroll vendors.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to create process/SOP documentation.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to work with HR, Finance, and other teams
