Android Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable Android features from concept to production.
• Build high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Implement scalable application architecture using MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Develop asynchronous and reactive applications using Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and StateFlow.
• Integrate backend services and APIs using REST, Retrofit, and OkHttp.
• Work with Android Jetpack components, including ViewModel, Room, Navigation, WorkManager, and Paging 3
• Implement dependency injection using Hilt/Dagger.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, startup time, rendering, battery consumption, and network efficiency.
• Write unit and UI tests using JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, and Turbine.
• Monitor production applications using Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and other engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong expertise in Kotlin.
• Good working knowledge of Java.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Strong experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow, and StateFlow.
• Experience with MVVM and clean architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Hilt / Dagger 2
• Strong experience with Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Experience with Room Database.
• Good understanding of Android Jetpack components.
• Experience integrating REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Android performance optimization.
• Experience with JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito.
• Experience with Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics.
• Strong understanding of Gradle and Git.
• Experience building and shipping consumer-facing Android applications at scale.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills.
