Requirements:

  • Expertise in Python.
  • Experience in production deployments where there are> 10k users.
  • Experience with Fast API - and (optionally) GoLang.
  • Seeing a lot of Flask and Django, which indicates that they have not developed a microservice with Python recently.
  • Preferably, this API should have a lot of I/O calls that need to be orchestrated for high-concurrency requests.
  • Experience with queues - Celery, Rabbit MQ or AWS SQS.
  • Experience with Databases - Postgres, MongoDB, Databricks, Iceberg.
  • Experience with web sockets (socket.io ), asynchronous programming (async.io ), etc.
  • Experience with Kubernetes - know how APIs can be scaled when deployed on K8S (this is not deploying APIs in K8S, which is dev ops.
  • Knowledge on how to run scalable micro services on K8S.
