Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-concurrency microservices using FastAPI (preferred) that handle complex asynchronous I/O orchestration.
  • Build and optimise event-driven architectures using message queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS).
  • Work with modern databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and big data technologies like Databricks and Iceberg.
  • Implement real-time features using WebSockets (Socket.io ) and asynchronous programming patterns (asyncio).
  • Ensure services are production-grade, scalable, and observable when deployed on Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with frontend, data, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
  • Write clean, testable code and follow best practices for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in Python with recent hands-on experience building microservices using FastAPI.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining production systems serving 10,000+ active users.
  • Deep understanding of asynchronous programming (asyncio) and orchestration of high-concurrency I/O-heavy workloads.
  • Hands-on experience with message queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS).
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Exposure to Databricks or Iceberg is a plus.
