Role  

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - Sovereign Cloud to join our team. This is a hybrid role, based in San Jose, CA reporting to the Senior Director, Product Management in the Product Management department. This role will lead strategy, roadmap execution, and adoption for Sovereign Cloud initiatives across a complex enterprise product portfolio. This is a high-visibility role where you will drive critical projects to scale our Sovereign Cloud offerings, ensuring our Zero Trust Exchange remains the global leader in cloud security.

What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

• Define and execute the product roadmap for Zscaler Sovereign Solutions, addressing critical customer and partner priorities
• Lead high-impact, cross-functional collaborations across engineering, sales, and marketing to successfully drive products from concept to market delivery
• Engage with global customers to gather feedback, identify market opportunities, prioritize investments, analyze competition, and anticipate emerging trends
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders and align teams on strategy, sequencing, and execution tradeoffs

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, with a proven history of integrating new technologies to enhance daily workflows and augment problem-solving
• 10+ years of product management experience with a proven track record of defining, launching, and scaling successful security products for cloud environments
• Deep technical expertise in network security and protocols including proxies, firewalls, TLS, PKI, and HTTP/S
• Proven experience with cloud-native services at hyper-scalers or major SaaS providers
• Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills with experience translating complex customer needs into well-defined product requirements

What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Technical background or industry experience in Cloud Engineering, SRE, DevOps, or Technical Product Management
• Proven ability to balance long-term platform strategy with near-term engineering delivery needs and influence without direct authority
• Enterprise networking and Zscaler expertise, including a deep understanding of global transit architectures, underlays, and networking technologies combined with direct, hands-on experience with Zscaler products (ZIA, ZPA, or ZDX)

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range

$171,500—$245,000 USD
