Overview
Zscaler is an American cloud security company founded in 2007 that routes an organisation's internet and application traffic through its own global network of data centres for inspection. This replaces the appliances that traditionally sat at an office perimeter and underpins its two main products: a secure web gateway that inspects outbound traffic, and a zero trust access service that connects users to individual internal applications without putting them on the corporate network. Headquartered in San Jose and listed on Nasdaq, it also sells cloud posture management, data protection and a security operations product built on the traffic it already inspects.
