Developed Java-based mainframe migration accelerators to analyze customer migration data and generate mainframe programs, systems, and messages from flat files. Built JAR-based MCP tools that AI agents can invoke via a chat interface to automate end-to-end mainframe migration workflows. Applied spec-driven development, added extensive unit testing with structured logging, and evaluated AI-assisted delivery approaches for the team’s migration goals.

Built Java REST microservices using Hibernate with MySQL, applying DTO/VO patterns for clean data handling. Designed scalable service architecture with modular layers, code tables, and feature switches to support changing requirements. Implemented CI/CD and Docker-based deployments and supported asynchronous communication using Kafka (and JMS basics). Added maintainability features including dynamic PDF generation, API documentation, logging, and exception handling.

Supported application migration from PCF to Azure Kubernetes Service, using CodeFresh for onboarding, containerization, and deployment. Developed Java Spring Boot microservices with REST APIs, Swagger documentation, and MySQL persistence. Implemented security using Spring Security with JWT-based authentication and delivered service endpoints for the platform environment.

Developed an Android app using Java and Firebase for an NGO to alert nearby donors when blood is needed. The app’s purpose was to improve donor response by triggering notifications based on the need event.
