Applications sent for you, from your own Gmail
- Sends the applications Auto apply writes for you, up to 72 a day from one mailbox.
- Sends a test email to your own address when you press Send a test.
- Nothing else. The one permission Google grants is gmail.send: sending email from your account.
- Never reads, searches, changes or deletes your email.
- Never sends anything except your applications and the tests you ask for.
- Never sells data received from Google, never uses it for advertising or to train AI models.
- Never keeps the access in plain form: the tokens are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and never written to logs.
If the connection stops
If you remove the access in your Google account, or Google stops accepting it, Auto apply pauses for every feed that sends from that mailbox: nothing new is written, the applications already written wait three days for you to reconnect, and we email you once. The Auto apply block shows the mailbox as disconnected and says why. Press Reconnect and the waiting applications go out.
Disconnect any time
Press Disconnect in the Auto apply block and the feed goes back to Alion's address: applications are then sent under your name, with your email as the reply address. You can also remove the access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When no feed uses the mailbox any more, Alion revokes the access at Google and deletes the tokens; deleting your Alion account does the same.
Privacy
The Gmail connection is covered by the privacy policy, section 02, "A Gmail account you connect". Alion's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
