Overview
AI71 is an Abu Dhabi artificial intelligence company launched in 2023 by the Advanced Technology Research Council to commercialise the Falcon models developed at the Technology Innovation Institute. It packages those open-weight models into enterprise and government deployments that run inside a customer's own environment, aimed at sectors such as healthcare, energy, law and public administration where data cannot leave national borders. The company's positioning is explicitly sovereign: rather than competing on frontier model capability, it sells the ability to keep sensitive data and inference entirely under local control while using models that are open enough to inspect and adapt.
