Overview
Allen Control Systems is a defense technology company based in Austin, Texas, that develops autonomous weapon stations for countering small drones and loitering munitions on land and at sea. Its Bullfrog stations carry M240 and M2 machine guns and use passive machine-vision drone detection with autonomous fire control; its leaders previously co-founded Bbot, acquired by DoorDash, and Omnivore, acquired by Olo. It hires electrical, embedded software, controls, computer vision and test engineers, drone operators, assembly technicians and production planners, and also lists an office in Alexandria, Virginia.
