Overview
The State of Berlin is the city-state government of the German capital, run from Berlin through the Senate administrations, twelve district offices and many state agencies. With around 138,000 employees it is one of the largest employers in the region, running services for about 3.9 million residents, including tax offices, social and health agencies, schools, parks and transport planning. It hires administrative caseworkers, civil, traffic and electrical engineers, IT technicians, urban planners, social workers, building technicians and apprentices in administration, gardening and library services.
