Overview
BNSF Railway is one of the largest freight railroads in North America, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and moving consumer goods, grain, coal, industrial products and intermodal containers. Owned by Berkshire Hathaway, it operates about 32,500 miles of track across the western two-thirds of the United States and parts of Canada and was formed in 1995 by the merger of the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe railroads. It hires conductor trainees across many terminals, electricians and mechanical crafts, police dispatchers, highway vehicle operators, and technology and business interns trained in Fort Worth.
