Overview

CRV is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage enterprise and consumer startups, usually at the seed and Series A stages. Since its founding it has backed more than six hundred companies, including Twitter, DoorDash, Zendesk and Airtable. The firm was founded in 1970 in the Boston area as Charles River Ventures, later shortened its name to CRV, and now operates primarily from Palo Alto, California.
