Y Combinator is a startup accelerator and seed investor that funds large batches of very early companies several times a year. Each batch receives a standard investment, an intensive program of office hours and a Demo Day, and alumni include Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox, Reddit, Coinbase and DoorDash. It was founded in 2005 by Paul Graham, Jessica Livingston, Robert Morris and Trevor Blackwell and is now based in San Francisco.
