Overview
GM Performance Power Units is a Formula 1 power unit developer based in Concord, North Carolina, building hybrid and electric powertrains, sustainable fuel and high-efficiency combustion engine technology for the Cadillac Formula 1 team. The company is a partnership between General Motors and TWG Motorsports and is setting up its own team, processes and test facilities to design and build a race-winning F1 power unit. It hires mechanical design, additive manufacturing, controls and test cell engineers, CNC and facilities technicians, IT and HR staff, and a large group of summer interns and graduate placements.
