Overview
Hasbro is an American toy and entertainment company founded in Rhode Island in 1923 by three brothers selling textile remnants, and it now owns Monopoly, Nerf, Play-Doh, Transformers, My Little Pony and Peppa Pig alongside the tabletop games publisher Wizards of the Coast. Its most valuable single asset is arguably Magic: The Gathering, whose collectible economics generate more profit than much larger toy lines, and the company has been reshaping itself around games and licensing after selling the eOne film studio. Headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and listed on Nasdaq, it competes with Mattel and with the digital entertainment taking children's attention.

Products
Transformers and Entertainment Brands
Character franchises including Transformers, My Little Pony and Peppa Pig, monetised through toys, licensing and media. Licensing revenue carries almost no cost of goods, which makes it disproportionately valuable to margins.
hasbro.com
Nerf and Play-Doh
Core toy brands sold through mass retail worldwide. They are exposed directly to the falling amount of time children spend with physical toys, which is the structural problem facing the whole category.
hasbro.com
Monopoly and Games
The board game portfolio including Monopoly, Clue, Jenga and Trivial Pursuit. These are licensed extensively into digital and mobile formats, where the brand recognition does considerably more work than the gameplay.
hasbro.com
Dungeons & Dragons
The tabletop roleplaying game, now extended into digital products and film licensing. Its cultural resurgence expanded the audience far beyond the hobby players who had sustained it quietly for several decades.
hasbro.com
Magic: The Gathering
The collectible card game that is the company's most profitable single property. Its secondary market and repeat-purchase economics behave far more like a game platform than like a toy, which is why it survives the decline in traditional play patterns.
