Overview
High Point University is a private university in High Point, North Carolina, affiliated with the United Methodist Church and teaching across schools of business, law, pharmacy, health sciences, education, communication and the arts. It opened in 1924 as High Point College, founded by the Methodist Protestant Church together with the city of High Point, and took its present name in 1991. Alongside faculty and professional staff the university employs its own students across campus, posting assistantships and part-time roles in libraries, laboratories, admissions, athletics, chapel life and administrative offices.
