Merkur Group, formerly known as the Gauselmann Group, is a German gaming and entertainment company headquartered in Lübbecke in East Westphalia that develops and manufactures slot machines and casino games and runs arcades, casinos, sports betting and online gaming. Founded by Paul Gauselmann in 1957, the family-owned group also offers cash management and financial services and has subsidiaries such as Merkur Excellence, a casino game studio set up in 2018. It hires game designers and developers, IT application support staff, project managers, electricians, HR business partners and apprentices and dual-study students.
