Orbital Lasers

Orbital Lasers emerged as an independent venture spun out from SKY Perfect JSAT and collaborates with RIKEN to develop compact space-based laser systems. It develops and plans to operate laser-based systems for space debris removal and satellite-mounted LiDAR instruments to enable high-precision Earth surface measurements. The company positions its technology as highly powerful, compact, and cost-effective for orbital operations and targets commercial and government customers in space situational awareness, debris mitigation, and remote sensing markets.
