Overview
Parity Technologies is a core Web3 and blockchain infrastructure development firm best known for building foundational technologies for the Polkadot ecosystem. Founded in 2015 by Ethereum co-founder Gavin Wood and Jutta Steiner, the company initially developed Parity Ethereum before pivoting to pioneer multi-chain interoperability. Parity created Substrate, a modular open-source framework that allows developers to build custom blockchains, and spearheaded the technical development of Polkadot - a decentralized protocol connecting heterogeneous blockchain networks.
