Overview

SemiWiki is an American online publication and community founded in 2011 that covers semiconductor design, electronic design automation, intellectual property and foundry technology for an audience of practising chip engineers. It publishes technical blogs, vendor analysis and discussion forums, and it is funded through sponsorship from the design tool, intellectual property and foundry companies whose customers make up its readership. Run by a small editorial team with contributing industry authors, it occupies a niche that general technology media cannot serve, since its readers judge articles by whether the author has actually taped out a chip.

Products

Industry Newsletters
Email digests summarising semiconductor design and manufacturing developments. They carry the sponsorship that funds the publication and reach engineers who would never visit the site directly on their own.
semiwiki.com
Sponsored Content
Vendor-supplied technical articles, white papers and webinars hosted alongside the editorial. It is the main revenue source, and the audience tolerates it because the material is technical rather than promotional.
semiwiki.com
Discussion Forums
Community forums where semiconductor engineers debate tools, foundries and process nodes. The forum archive is a genuine asset, since much of the discussion exists nowhere else on the public internet.
semiwiki.com
Technical Blogs
Articles on chip design, verification, packaging and process technology written by industry practitioners. Readers judge a piece by whether the author has actually taped out a chip, which is a bar general technology media cannot clear.
