Smardt

Smardt is a manufacturer of oil-free centrifugal chillers and thermal management systems headquartered in Dorval, near Montreal, Quebec, supplying air-cooled, water-cooled and evaporatively cooled chillers and air handling units for data centers, hospitals, schools, offices and industrial sites. Founded in 2005 by Roger Richmond-Smith, whose team had developed the Turbocor oil-free compressor, it reports more than 10,000 installed chillers, over 900 employees and manufacturing facilities in the US, Canada, Germany, China and Australia. It hires manufacturing, quality and controls engineers, technicians, buyers, supply chain specialists and production staff, mainly at its Dorval plant.
