Solvay is a Belgian chemical company headquartered in Brussels that produces essential chemicals such as soda ash and bicarbonate, peroxides, silica, rare earths and specialty products for consumer goods, construction, agriculture, automotive and industrial markets. Founded in 1863 by Ernest Solvay, it is listed on Euronext Brussels and Paris and, after the 2023 separation of its specialty business into Syensqo, employs around 9,000 people at production sites worldwide. It hires research and innovation leaders, process safety and maintenance engineers, planning and inspection technicians, SAP leads, supply chain interns and German apprentices in automation.
