Overview
Sophos is a British cybersecurity company that develops endpoint protection, extended and managed detection and response, firewalls, email and cloud security products for businesses. Founded in 1985 by Jan Hruska and Peter Lammer, it sells largely through channel partners, runs a round-the-clock managed detection and response service, was taken private by Thoma Bravo in 2020 and acquired Secureworks in 2025. The company is headquartered in Abingdon, England, United Kingdom.
