Overview
Sugar Bowl Resort is an independently owned ski and snowboard resort on Donner Summit near Norden and Soda Springs in the Sierra Nevada of California, operating downhill terrain, the Royal Gorge cross-country ski area, tubing, slopeside lodging, restaurants and a village community. Opened in 1939, it is one of the oldest ski resorts in California and installed the first chairlift in the state, and it also runs the Sugar Bowl Academy and competitive ski teams. Its seasonal and year-round hiring covers lift operators and supervisors, grooming and snowmaking crews, restaurant and bar managers, Nordic instructors, retail, hotel reservations and maintenance staff.
