Overview
Trados is a translation technology brand of the RWS Group, headquartered in Chalfont St Peter, England, offering the Trados Studio desktop translation editor, Trados Team, Business and Enterprise translation management, Passolo software localization and Language Weaver Pro machine translation. Founded in Stuttgart in 1984, it was acquired by SDL in 2005 and became part of RWS, which is listed on AIM, when RWS bought SDL in 2020; its tools serve freelance translators, language service providers and corporate localization teams. Its board is the RWS group board, hiring product managers, software and test engineers, localization leads and remote AI search evaluators.
