Overview
turbopuffer builds a serverless vector and full-text search engine for AI applications that need to search very large amounts of fresh data. It separates compute from storage by keeping indexes on object storage, and the company reports more than one trillion documents under management, over ten million writes and 25,000 queries per second. Founded in Ottawa in 2023 by former Shopify engineers Simon Eskildsen and Justine Li, it counts Anthropic, Atlassian, Cursor and Notion as customers and is backed by Lachy Groom and Thrive Capital.
