Valentino is an Italian luxury fashion house with its corporate headquarters in Milan, designing and selling women's and men's ready-to-wear, couture, shoes, bags, accessories and fragrances under the Valentino Garavani name. Founded in Rome in 1960 by Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti, the maison is controlled by the Qatari investor Mayhoola, with Kering holding a minority stake, and its collections are designed by creative director Alessandro Michele. The company sells through its own boutiques in major cities, department stores and an online store, while its fragrance and beauty lines are produced under licence by L'Oreal.
