Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Lead to lead development activities, design scalable applications, guide developers, and ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and database technologies, along with hands-on development and team leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing and deployment of Java-based applications.
• Develop scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Design, develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Review code, enforce coding standards and ensure application quality.
• Guide and mentor developers and coordinate daily development activities.
• Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, architects and project managers.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks and production defects.
• Participate in requirement analysis, technical design and effort estimation.
• Ensure application security, scalability, maintainability and performance.
• Support CI/CD processes and application deployments.

Required Technical Skills

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, OOP concepts, Collections and Multithreading.
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Framework.
• Experience developing Microservices and REST APIs.
• Good knowledge of Hibernate / JPA.
• Experience with SQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito and unit testing.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Good problem-solving, communication and technical leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure or another cloud platform.
• Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of Redis, performance tuning and distributed systems.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Java developers and support technical decision-making.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Track development progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical dependencies.
• Promote coding best practices and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
