Software Architect within Rendering
3Shape is looking for a talented hands-on technical architect to join our Software Rendering Area. The 3shape portfolio spans multiple platforms; From hi-end desktops to cloud, mobile apps and beyond. We are looking for someone to connect the technical dots assuring a converging rendering tech and experience in our eco system.
You will be working with rendering developers across the company. Being in this role, you will be working across different teams and working with rendering in various applications. You’ll be the technical anchor and communication glue across the board. Being the natural focal point for technical discussion, decisions related to rendering, you thrive in connecting the dots and ensuring progress. You will be coordinating the internal rendering community and being the interface to management and product management. Meanwhile, you’ll stay close technology writing and reviewing code every day!

What You’ll Do
Writing and reviewing code related rendering covering desktop applications, web/cloud and mobile applications.
Active technical community management. Facilitate technical discussions and decision within the space of rendering. Assembling the team. Be active and driving the discussions forward.
With the community, orchestrate and document the technical direction within rendering. Balance the (sometimes) contradictory needs and strike the right trads-offs. Drive the community towards decision and execution. Govern that decisions are followed, ensuring we move toward the northern star.
Communicate within the rendering community, the greater developer audience, management and product management. Be the persistent voice of converged rendering.

What We’re Looking For
A technically well anchored person within rendering. Someone who writes and reviews code. Ideally on variety of tech stacks covering desktop applications, web and mobile applications. This is not an ivory tower position.
Someone with an architectural perspective, as you will own the technical architecture across platforms. Someone that think two steps ahead and empower developers create towards the northern star.
A pragmatic leader. A person that navigates and balances the space between existing tech debt, the northern star vision and sometimes urgent product needs.
A communicator. Someone who thrives talking tech and reviewing code in the morning and aligning with product management in the afternoon.
Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
