Lead Data Engineer

As a Lead Data Engineer, your areas of expertise include programming in JavaScript, implementing software engineering best practices in design, development, and utilisation of APIs in cloud platforms. You have a passion for hands-on coding, putting quality first, delivering an exceptional experience to App Developers and Customers, and driving efficiency through the creation of extendable and re-usable service components. You will also ensure that the components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. If required, you must be willing to wear any of the other hats that are required to make the project successful and always ready to learn new technology on the fly and deliver the results.

Requirements:

• Overall 7 - 9 years of experience in industry.
• 5+ years' experience in building data workflows and big data systems.
• Must have 4+ years in Azure cloud and Databricks setup.
• Must have 5+ years' experience in Spark framework-based data pipeline development.
• Must have exposure to API development.
• 4+ years of experience in any relation database(Oracle/Postgres).
• 2+ years of experience in any NoSQL databases (Cassandra/MongoDB/DynamoDB).
• 4+ years of experience in any cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Must have experience with messaging Technologies like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines built with GitHub, Maven, and Jenkins, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Exposure to the retail industry and experience with e-commerce applications.
