A4&T Power Solutions is seeking for a Chartered Accountant with strong financial modeling expertise and deep General Ledger (GL) accounting knowledge. The ideal candidate must possess leadership capability to manage a team and provide financial insights that drive business performance, cost optimization, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop robust financial models for project financing, pricing strategies, and investment evaluation.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis for solar installations and capital expenditure decisions.
- Provide strategic insights to management on profitability, cash flow, and growth opportunities.
- Support fundraising, investor reporting, and financial due diligence processes where required.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of three finance staff.
- Establish performance KPIs and ensure accountability within the finance unit.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and Nigerian tax regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Strengthen internal controls and risk management processes.
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5-7 years progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Proven experience managing the General Ledger and full accounting cycle.
- Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and advanced financial analysis.
- Prior experience supervising or managing a team (minimum of 3 staff).
- Strong financial modeling skills (NPV, IRR, DCF, scenario analysis).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and IFRS.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
