Network Engineer

Job Purpose

To maintain the stable connectivity of bank's network including but not limited to network configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. On top of that he is accountable for keeping bank’s network secure by complying with network security policies.

Responsibilities

• Execute the assigned projects ranging from the design, review, implementation, maintenance, migration plan, and documents of the Bank’s network infrastructures which include DCs, Branches, ABA 24/7, and ATM/Cash-In connectivity.
• Establish the high availability, integrity, and security of the corporate network infrastructure connections and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide networking subject matter expertise to peers, immediate management, and other internal teams for business requirements development, program management, issue resolution, risk mitigation.
• Identify network requirements of hardware, software, and services that will provide optimal solutions and meet the capacity requirement of the bank.
• Develop monitoring, maintenance, expansion, and recovery plans.
• Work closely with all project stakeholder groups to coordinate the project milestones.
• Keep senior management abreast and updated of the status and hold them accountable for facilitating mitigation of risks and solution of the escalated issues.
• Contribute expert-level support and superior service for cloud infrastructure issues, troubleshooting and resolution to satisfy stakeholders by complying with internal rules and service length agreements.
• Build a strong collaborative relationship with ABA Bank’s specialists such as application teams, network engineers, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions within the broader IT ecosystem.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field of study.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in executing complex IT-centric projects with enterprise infrastructure components.
• Experience in executing IT projects and programs with a very strong routing and switching background along with a strong security practice.
• Highly proficiency in network design and implementation.
• Competency in BGP, WAN/LAN networking technologies; routed network infrastructures and protocols; legacy system protocol’s; and LAN network and DNS architectures.
• Competency in security methodologies; firewalls, access control lists, encryption and public key infrastructure
• Understanding of enterprise technology infrastructure, application development & maintenance, software testing, and IT architecture
• Understanding of infrastructure mainframe and distributed technologies as they relate to providing technical solutions to application and business requirements.
• Highly skilled and project-oriented individual with capability of managing multiple complex assignments.
• Strong communication, people, and project-management capabilities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to use and communicate effectively in both Khmer and English.
• Strong technical depth and breadth.
• Ability to provide Off-Hours support including 24/7 on-call duty.
