Dental Assistant/Receptionist - 1300SMILES Roma

Join 1300SMILES Roma as a Casual Dental Assistant/Receptionist and become part of a friendly local team supporting patients across both clinical and reception areas.

This is a varied role where you'll have the opportunity to build your dental skills, work closely with the clinical team and get to know the patients who visit the practice. With a mix of general, preventative, children's and emergency dentistry, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of dental care while also developing your administration, reception and customer service skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing chairside assistance during general and emergency dental procedures
• Preparing treatment rooms and instruments ahead of appointments
• Sterilising and maintaining instruments and equipment to infection control standards
• Welcoming patients, managing the appointment book and answering the phone
• Maintaining accurate patient records and processing accounts
• Supporting the clinical team with administration and day to day practice tasks
• Keeping reception and clinical areas clean, tidy and running smoothly

To succeed in the role, you will bring:

• Friendly, approachable and confident working with patients
• Comfortable switching between clinical and reception duties
• Reliable, organised and willing to help wherever needed
• Calm and reassuring when supporting nervous patients
• A clear and confident communicator
• Previous dental assisting, dental reception or customer service experience is advantageous, but not essential
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is advantageous, but not essential
