As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous interaction with different teams to maintain system stability and support business continuity through effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to prioritize and address system issues promptly.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their problem-solving capabilities.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to prevent future disruptions.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Programming Language.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills within complex software environments.
- Experience in automating routine tasks and enhancing system functionalities using scripting.
- Ability to analyze and interpret system logs and error messages to identify root causes.
- Familiarity with integrating VBA solutions into larger business applications.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Programming Language.
- This position is based at our M2B - STPI office.
