As a software sustainment engineer, you play a pivotal role in an application’s functional life. From troubleshooting to fixing bugs, you use your operations and maintenance skillsto ensure that things run smoothly. As a software sustainment engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll have an operational impact from day one. Supporting a team of professionals, you’ll maintain applications and keep systems working. You’ll use programming and scripting languages as you continuously enhance and maintain the applications, troubleshoot any issues that arise operationally, and upgrade the systems to meet security requirements.

You Have:
- 3+ years of experiencemaintaining and making minor changes to existing applications or keeping those systems working in a sustainment mode
- 3+ years of experiencewith legacy enterprise systems
- Experiencewith basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
- Experienceworking in a microservices or distributed application environment
- Experiencewith designing and debugging applications
- Experiencewith workflows, web parts, site maintenance, and APIs
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability toobtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+, within 30 days of start date
Nice If You Have:
- Experiencecreating and testing modules and components for compliance to design specifications
- Experiencewith containerization using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher
- Experiencein C#, Java, Python, C, C++, .NET, JavaScript, React, Angular, NodeJS, PHP, Bash, Visual Basic, Groovy, or Lua
- Experiencewith cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge ofshell scripting and automation
- Knowledge ofsource control systems such as GIT
- Knowledge ofrelational and hierarchal data structures or functional programming
- Ability todevelopdetailed program specifications or documentation and participate in design and code reviews and address findings
- Ability towork in an Agile environment

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
