Language Requirements: Fluent English is mandatory. French or Italian is highly preferred, as the role will involve business interaction with stakeholders across different markets. German, Spanish, Portuguese and Nordic languages are also considered a plus.
The Central Operations TeamPlanner (Meetings & Events)as a part of M&E Planning Central of Excellence supportstheplanning,operationsand deliveryofglobalMeetings & Eventsthrough a centralized, process-driven operating model.
This role is responsible forplanning,coordinatingand supportingthe end-to-end event lifecycle - includingevent qualification,budget estimation,approval management, logistical planning, stakeholder management, andpost-event reconciliation - ensuringutmost adherence topolicyguidelines,complianceand accuracy, financial discipline, and data integrity across Market Units.
Acting as a key operational partner, theM&E Central OpsPlannercollaborates with Market Units, local Event Plannersand internal stakeholders to ensurean operationallyeffectiveapproach,accurate data managementandconsistentalignment withprocessesandorganizational standards. The role also plays a critical part in enhancing cross-regional visibility, governance, and reporting accuracy.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Manage incoming event requestsintoM&E, validate data, qualify requirementsthrough the Policy lensand guide requestors throughoutthe process.
Support venue sourcing/ collaborate with P+ on the sourcing needs,focus onsustainability and maintain accurateeventstatusat all times.
Coordinate planning activities including budget tracking, purchase orders and travelor additionalapprovals, ensuring alignment withguidelines.
Provide stakeholder support andtimelyissue escalation management to ensure consistentand satisfactorydelivery across Market Units.
Own and overseeevent closure activities, including financial reconciliation, invoice tracking, audit supportand data accuracy in reporting systems.
Skills that make your work successful:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
Event Technology Experience (preferably Cvent, StarCite,Eved, Delphi, Opera, etc.);
Relevant experience in meetings management within a multinational organization, with experience level assessed based on the candidate’s overall professional background and fit for the role;
Solid understanding of Strategic Meetings ManagementconceptsEvent Planning,Venue Sourcing, Supplier Contract Management, Event Budget Management, Attendee Management, On-Site Event Execution;
Fluent English (written and spoken);
Strong Microsoft Office skills;
Knowledge of the hospitality industry;
Proficiency in additional European languages is highly valued (e.g. French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese,Nordic languages,etc.).
