The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager to join our Sourcing & Procurement practice. This is a senior client-facing role that combines deep functional procurement expertise with a strong business development mindset. The successful candidate will lead complex client engagements across Spend Optimization and Procurement Reinvention, develop relationships at C-level, and actively contribute to the growth of the practice - ideally bringing an existing network in the Resources sector (Utilities, Oil & Gas).

What You Will Do

Client Delivery & Functional Leadership

• Lead end-to-end procurement transformation engagements, covering spend analysis, sourcing strategy, category management, supplier performance, and operating model design.
• Deploy Spend Optimization solutions (SG&A and COGS) and Procurement Reinvention programs, including AI-first operating model design, process redesign, and ecosystem integration (SAP/Ariba, Coupa, iValua, iCertis).
• Oversee the design and implementation of Supplier 360 and procurement analytics dashboards to enable client visibility and insight-driven decision-making.
• Drive value realization through outcome-based commercial models, with a track record of delivering measurable results (cost savings, supplier reduction, compliance improvement).

Business Development & Client Relationships

• Build and nurture C-level relationships (CPO, CFO, COO, CSCO) at existing and target accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and thought partner.
• Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities, contributing to proposals, RFP responses, and executive presentations.
• Leverage an existing network - particularly in the Resources sector (Utilities, Oil & Gas) - to generate pipeline and accelerate commercial conversations.
• Develop compelling points of view and credentials that differentiate the firm's offering in the market.

People & Practice Development

• Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering a high-performance culture and developing junior talent.
• Contribute to internal capability building, including knowledge management, methodology development, and training programs.
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners (SAP, Coupa, iValua, and others) and cross-functional teams to design integrated solutions.

What We Are Looking For

Experience

• 8-15 years of experience in procurement consulting, with a minimum of 4 years at a top-tier management consulting or specialist procurement advisory firm.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale procurement transformation programs: spend optimization, category management, operating model redesign, and/or technology-enabled procurement.
• Strong industry exposure in Resources (Utilities and/or Oil & Gas) as a primary focus; additional experience in Consumer Goods, Life Sciences, Industrials, or High Tech is a plus.
• Experience working with C-level stakeholders and managing complex client relationships across multi-country or global engagements.
• Demonstrable contribution to business development: pipeline generation, proposal leadership, or client network development.

Functional & Technical Knowledge

• Deep expertise across the procurement value chain: strategic sourcing, category management, supplier performance, contract management, and procure-to-pay.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled procurement tools and platforms (e.g., SynOps, SAP Ariba, Coupa, iValua, iCertis, Spend HQ) and the ability to articulate their ROI to clients.
• Understanding of agentic AI applications in procurement (benchmarking agents, negotiation assistance, intelligent buying channels) and the emerging landscape of AI-first operating models.
• Knowledge of commercial models: outcome/value-based deals, fixed fee, hybrid, and FTE-based structures.
• Proficiency in procurement analytics and data-driven decision-making; experience with spend data analysis and dashboarding is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has built their career at the intersection of functional procurement excellence and strategic consulting - ideally with a background at a Big 4, top-tier management consulting firm, or specialist procurement advisory (e.g., Efficio, Proxima, Accenture, McKinsey, BCG, Kearney). They have operated at Senior Manager or equivalent level, led multi-million-dollar engagements, and are now ready to take on increased commercial responsibility.

Equally important is a strong client network - particularly among CPOs, CFOs, and operations leaders in Utilities, Oil & Gas, or adjacent sectors - and the demonstrated ambition and capability to convert that network into business.
