Role Overview :
We are seeking a seasoned Data Architect to design and deliver modern enterprise data platforms, with strong expertise in scalable data lakes, Lakehouse architectures and semantic layers for trusted analytics, reporting and AI-driven insights. Experience implementing similar solutions on Microsoft Azure is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Define end-to-end data architecture across ingestion, storage, processing, governance, security, and consumption layers.
- Design scalable data lake and Lakehouse solutions for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Establish data modelling standards, curated data products, and business-ready analytical layers.
- Lead the design of semantic layers with consistent metrics, definitions, hierarchies, and reusable BI models.
- Partner with business, BI, governance, and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Guide engineering teams on architecture decisions, design reviews, implementation patterns, and performance optimization.
Required Experience and Skills :
- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics platforms, or enterprise data solution design.
- Proven experience implementing enterprise-scale data lakes or Lakehouse platforms.
- Strong knowledge of modern data architecture patterns, including medallion architecture, data products, ELT/ETL, and governed self-service analytics.
- Hands-on expertise in data modelling, dimensional modelling, semantic modelling and metric definition.
- Experience with semantic layers using Power BI datasets, Azure Analysis Services, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or equivalent platforms.
