Accor is a French hospitality group headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, near Paris, that operates, franchises and manages hotels and resorts. Its origins go back to the first Novotel opened in 1967 by Paul Dubrule and Gérard Pélisson, and the group took the Accor name in 1983. Its portfolio of more than 5,000 hotels spans brands such as Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Mercure, Novotel and ibis, alongside the ALL loyalty programme. The company is listed on Euronext Paris.

We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to keep the breakfast rolling, food flawless and make every plate unforgettable (only in a good way!) at The Hoxton, Edinburgh.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you’ll be responsible for providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring standards are maintained and guest needs are anticipated. This is a casual, flexible role where you choose the shifts that work for your life, and there may be opportunities to pick up hours elsewhere in the hotel too.

We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End - our very first Hox in Scotland. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment - our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings.

Patatino is our all-day Italian trattoria serving fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and all the spritzes and Italian wines you could wish for. Inspired by the glam and romance of the sun-soaked Amalfi coast, it’s a spot for long, joyful meals with friends, where old-school charm meets modern design, with bold colours, cosy corners, and plenty of personality.

More about us…

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.

What's in it for you...

  • The flexibility to choose when you want to work, perfect for students, side-projects, or anyone wanting control over their schedule or juggling other commitments.
  • Become part of a team that’s very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences.
  • Competitive salary plus holiday pay.
  • Food on us during your shift.
  • The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding.
  • Join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that is shaking things up on the hospitality scene.

What you will do…

  • Bring delicious flavours to our guests’ tables by running a section in our busy kitchen.
  • Nurture and develop the talent of the kitchen team, creating an environment that brings out the best in them and where they can be themselves.
  • Make sure things are running without a hitch, orders and deliveries are coming and going as needed, our service is smooth as chipotle butter and our food hygiene standards are sky-high.
  • Work with our Executive Chef on ideas and techniques that make our kitchen a creative, ever-changing environment where we’re always looking to make the best food out there.
  • Ensure statutory compliance in all food and drink related areas.
  • Pay attention to the details to ensure every dish served is as delicious as the one before!

What we’re looking for…

  • Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in chef whites here.
  • Passion for hospitality - whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night.
  • You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.
  • You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done.
  • You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
  • If we got stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs.
  • You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun along the way.
  • Previous experience working as part of a fast-moving kitchen team with freshness and provenance of ingredients as a key priority.
  • Passion for food and fresh ingredients is a given.
  • A true passion for creativity whilst maintaining the integrity of our brand standards through the dishes on the menu.
  • A natural at leading and managing others, you lead by example and create an environment where your team can be their best self.
