Spice up the kitchen scene by assisting the team in cooking up dishes that are a feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
Our Ambassador will:
- Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs in preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards.
- Assist in operating assigned kitchen sections, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to recipes.
- Prepare and cook staff and guest meals with attention to quality, timing, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment, and food storage following health regulations.
- Monitor ingredient use, help reduce waste, and follow cost-effective preparation methods.
- Learn and assist in menu planning, ordering supplies, and understanding food and labour cost management.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and kitchen procedures, developing skills and knowledge under supervision.
- Minimum 18 months experience in a similar role.
- Completed National Certificate in Hospitality Level 4 in Professional Cookery.
- Physically fit and able to stand and work efficiently for full shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Highly organised with strong time management, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills, projecting a polished image at all times.
- Willingness and aptitude for ongoing development and training under Ibis standards.
- Ability to build rapport, manage stress effectively, and contribute positively to a collaborative kitchen team.
