Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and implement API automation using Karate framework.
- Manage end-to-end automation (API + UI where required).
- Perform strong backend data validation across DynamoDB and Redshift.
- Validate IoT data flows and system integrations.
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- Prepare Test Strategy and Test Plan documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and occasionally manage small QA teams when required.
Tech Stack:
- Karate API automation framework, Rest Assured, Postman, Bruno.
- GitHub, GitHub Action CI/CD, AWS.
- SQL, DynamoDB, Redshift.
- XRay Test Management (plus).
Requirements:
- 6-12 years of hands-on experience in Karate API Automation Framework.
- Strong experience with AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in API validation, Web Services Testing, and Database Validation.
- Strong analytical thinking to derive test scenarios from limited requirements.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira/Confluence.
- Ability to take complete end-to-end ownership as an Individual Contributor.
Good to Have:
- IoT functional validation experience.
- Exposure to CRM and Cloud-based applications.
- JavaScript (ES5) basics for API assertions.
- Non-Functional Testing (Performance, API NFR validation).
