As a Network Engineer in Norcross, GA, you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to powering the world’s payments ecosystem!
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations & Engineering
- Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and data center networking environments.
- Configure and support routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, VRFs, VLANs, QoS, ACLs, and network segmentation.
- Support enterprise connectivity across corporate offices, cloud platforms, carrier networks, and data centers.
- Monitor network health, availability, performance, and capacity utilizing enterprise monitoring platforms and analytics tools.
- Participate in network incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementation of corrective actions.
Security & Infrastructure
- Support and maintain network security technologies including next-generation firewalls, remote access solutions, VPNs, web filtering, DDoS protection, and network access controls.
- Implement and maintain security policies, firewall rules, access controls, and segmentation standards in partnership with Information Security teams.
- Assist with compliance initiatives including PCI DSS, audit requests, vulnerability remediation, and security reviews.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain automation solutions using scripting and infrastructure management tools to improve network provisioning, monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI-assisted and network automation platforms to streamline troubleshooting, validation testing, and routine operational tasks.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
Resiliency & Project Delivery
- Conduct failover, disaster recovery, and resiliency testing of network infrastructure.
- Participate in technology refreshes, office moves, carrier migrations, network modernization efforts, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Evaluate vendor solutions, assist with budgeting and cost analysis, and support project planning and implementation activities.
- Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical business operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience with:
- Routing and switching technologies
- Network troubleshooting and packet analysis
- Firewall administration and network security concepts
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and wireless networking
- Network performance monitoring and diagnostics
- Understanding of high-availability networking, redundancy, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
- Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer
- Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Global Protect VPN
- Arista switching and routing platforms, including EOS, CloudVision, VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, OSPF, MLAG, and data center fabric technologies.
- Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Wireless platforms
- Load Balancing Technologies - F5 GTM/LTM and Vmware AVI
- Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM
- Microsoft Azure networking
- SolarWinds, NetBrain, or similar monitoring platforms
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS, network security frameworks, and enterprise compliance requirements.
- CCNA, Network+, Fortinet NSE/FCP, Palo Alto PCNSA, or similar industry certifications.
Work Environment
- Hybrid work environment based in Norcross, GA.
- Frequent interaction with global technology teams, business stakeholders, customers, vendors, and carriers.
- Ability to work in data center and office environments, including installation and support of networking equipment.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Participation in after-hours maintenance activities and on-call rotation.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.
