Evolving Team Leader / Shift Supervisor (M/F)

• The 2028 Project:

Our client is preparing for the 2028 opening of a new, modern, and automated factory. To support this modernization, they are creating the pivotal position of Shift Supervisor, with a 2-stage trajectory:

• Phase 1 Substitute Team Leader: 15 days on day shift, then 3-shift rhythm (5am-12pm / 12pm-7pm / 7pm-2am). You will manage 6 employees in manufacturing/packaging, ensure replacements, and lead operational improvement projects.
• Phase 2 (Horizon 2028) Shift Supervisor: 5-shift continuous rhythm (2 nights / 2 afternoons / 2 mornings + 4 days off). You will lead a shift, ensuring KPIs, cohesion, and site safety at night/weekends.

• Your key missions:
• Management & HR: Lead rituals (TOP 5, 15-min safety talks, briefings), onboard, develop skills, manage schedules and contingencies, and facilitate the flow of information.
• Operational management: Guarantee Safety/Quality/Deadline objectives, anticipate thermal process drifts, drive corrective actions, and ensure traceability of instructions.
• Performance & Lean: Analyze KPIs (TRS, yields, energy), lead field projects (5S, problem-solving), and participate in trials/standards for the future site.

• Safety & HSE: Be exemplary, carry out preventive visits, and ensure compliance and cleanliness of workstations.

Your Profile

We are primarily looking for a strong managerial personality, capable of setting a supportive framework and leading teams with method.

• Your background: Successful experience in team management within an industrial site (chemistry, food processing, construction materials, metallurgy, plastics, etc.), ideally in shift or continuous work.
• Key skills:
• Mastery of activity management through indicators (KPIs) and OEE culture.
• Practice or solid sensitivity to Lean tools / operational continuous improvement.
• Comfortable with IT tools (ERP/CMMS, data encoding, reporting).
• Experience in an automated or semi-automated environment (supervision, automation concepts) is a real asset.
• Personal qualities:
• Leadership & communication: You know how to lead a group, listen, explain, and provide feedback accurately.
• Rigor & analysis: You like to rely on concrete data to make quick decisions.
• Technical curiosity: You have a taste for the field and a desire to learn a demanding transformation process.
