Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate individual to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with tax and financial regulations, Coordination with Auditors and banks.

Key Responsibilities

• Recording Financial Transactions and Maintaining Financial Ledgers: Accurately record appropriate journal entries and maintain financial ledgers in compliance with applicable financial reporting frameworks to ensure the true and fair representation of financial transactions.
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements: Prepare the company’s annual financial statements, including the Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting Documentation for Financial Transactions: Ensure all financial transactions are properly supported by adequate documentation to maintain transparency and accountability.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations, including the Income Tax Act, Goods and Services Tax (GST) Act, and the Companies Act, to meet statutory requirements and avoid non-compliance risks.
• Filing and Safeguarding Financial Records: Oversee the proper filing, storage, and safekeeping of financial records in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
• Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory purchases, usage, and balances. Conduct periodic physical inventory verifications to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
• Liaison with Auditors and Bank Authorities, Vendors: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and banking authorities, Vendors etc ensuring smooth communication and timely resolution of queries or requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Financial and Tax regulations
• Sound knowledge in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft office packages
• Knowledge of using ERP tools like Talley, Odoo, Zoho etc

Key Competencies

• Basic understanding of accounting concepts and frameworks
• Ability to interpret financial data, analyze trends, and identify discrepancies.
• Ensuring accuracy in financial records, regulatory compliance, and documentation.
• Understanding of financial regulations (Income Tax, GST, Companies Act) to ensure compliance.
• Working closely with the finance team and other departments for smooth operations.
