Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Test Lead to oversee and coordinate our software testing efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a team of testers, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The Software Test Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies, define test plans, and execute testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of software testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.
• Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals, requirements, and acceptance criteria, and translate them into comprehensive testing strategies and plans.
• Coordinate with development teams to ensure timely delivery of testable software builds and participate in design reviews to provide input on testability and quality aspects.
• Execute functional, regression, performance, and other types of testing as required, utilizing manual and automated testing techniques and tools.
• Identify, prioritize, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, including test coverage, test results, and defect metrics, to project stakeholders and management.
• Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality across projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing, and advocate for their adoption within the organization.
• Act as a subject matter expert on software testing practices, providing guidance and support to team members and other stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience of 8+ years in software testing, leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional Agile teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet tight deadlines.
