- Provide day-to-day technical supervision and engineering guidance for highway construction and development works.
- Supervise construction activities including earthwork, pavement, drainage, road safety, road furniture, interchanges, and associated highway structures in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor the Contractor’s work programme, construction methodology, quality control procedures, and progress to ensure timely completion of works.
- Review and verify designs, drawings, method statements, material submissions, test results, and technical documents submitted by the Contractor.
- Ensure compliance with applicable MoRTH/NHAI specifications, IRC codes, BIS standards, approved project specifications, and contractual requirements.
- Supervise and monitor construction of major bridges and structures, including foundations, substructures, superstructures, approaches, and associated works.
- Supervise rehabilitation, repair, strengthening, and maintenance works of major bridges and highway structures, as applicable.
- Monitor quality assurance, site inspections, measurements, testing, non-conformities, and corrective actions and maintain proper site records.
- Coordinate with the Contractor, Client, Team Leader/Project Manager, Design Team, authorities, and other stakeholders for resolution of technical and site-related issues.
- Assist the Team Leader/Project Manager in progress monitoring, technical reporting, payment/quantity verification, road safety, project documentation, and achieving project objectives related to quality, time, and cost.
Essential Qualifications:
- Graduate in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
- Professional Experience of at least 12 years in Highway Projects.
- At least 5 years experience in similar capacity in Highway Development Project.
- Should have handled at least 2 major projects (of length 40% of project length or more of similar configuration (4/6/8 laning) and above)
Preferential Qualifications:
- Post Graduate Degree in Transportation/Highway Engineering/Structural Engineering/Geotechnical Engineering/any specialized stream of Civil Engineering.
- Attended Minimum 5 days training programme in field related to Design and supervision of Highways related topic from IAHE.
- Experience of Highway Project (of length 40% of project length or more of similar configuration (4/6/8 laning) and above) of Construction / Construction Supervision / IC of Highway projects, Interchange / any other structures.
- Experience in similar capacity in supervision of at least 2 Major Highway Bridges.
- Experience in supervision of Rehabilitation and repair of 2 nos Major Bridges.
